I-80 Breakfast Roundtable
Presentation:
Since its popularization in a 1970s BBC series, mind mapping has become a recognized tool for critical thinking. It is used in education and business for brainstorming, note-taking, learning, teaching, organizing, writing, business analysis, project management, and any application where retaining both the overall picture and the details is important. Mind mapping is a whole-brain alternative to linear thinking. It is especially useful in project management for organizing ideas, establishing connections, creating a WBS, communication, presentations, and tracking project progress. The author will present general mind mapping concepts and demonstrate the application of mind mapping techniques in project management as applied to the PMBOK® Guide (4th edition) and the PRINCE2® project management methodology.
