Presentation:
We can all picture at least one of the following scenarios: Project team members who haven't spoken a productive wordto each other in days. Or maybe it's a room full of people with great ideas, but they just can't get past the personalities, the personal attacks, or the competitive ideas. Partners who won't partner. Conflicting responsibilities. Misconceptions. Conflict has always been with us . and it probably always will. But is it always destructive? Should it always be squashed? Is "conflict" the secret "c-word" that project teams do everything they can to avoid? What are some of the root causes of conflict? What can we do to help our team members work through their conflict crises? At this month's Government Forum meeting, James A. Kaupanger, PMP, CPF, and fellow PMI-SVC member, will show us how we can manage, and even harness, conflict to help our project teams succeed!
